Process Killer

The Process Killer extension lets you terminate misbehaving processes or windows directly from Sliprail — fast and safely. Ideal for developers and power users who need to quickly free resources or stop unresponsive apps.

What you can do

  • Open Task Manager (Windows) or Activity Monitor (macOS) by running ProcessKiller
  • Type ProcessKiller and press Space to list current windows and processes
  • Select a window entry (title + PID) and press Enter to terminate its owning process
  • Select a process entry (name/command + PID) and press Enter to kill it
  • Search by window title, app name, process name, or parent process name

How to use

  • Launcher only: ProcessKiller → opens Task Manager/Activity Monitor
  • Parameter mode: ProcessKiller + Space → browse running windows and processes
  • Use the arrow keys to navigate the list and select the process you wish to terminate.
  • Press Enter to immediately terminate the selected process.

Safety

  • Critical system processes are hidden by default
  • Still proceed with caution — terminating processes can cause data loss
  • On Windows, killing elevated processes may require running Sliprail as Administrator

Tips

  • Fuzzy search works across titles, app names, process names, and parent process names
  • Window entries usually show icons to help identify targets quickly
