Sliprail Hotkey Usage Guide

Hotkey to Open Search Window

Sliprail uses a global hotkey to quickly open the search window, allowing you to launch applications or execute system operations anytime, anywhere.

Default Hotkeys

  • Windows: Win + Space
  • macOS: Option + Space

You can customize this hotkey in Sliprail's settings to choose the combination that best suits your usage habits.

Special Settings for macOS Users

Many macOS users prefer using Command + Space as their quick launch hotkey. If you want to set Sliprail's hotkey to Command + Space, you need to first free up this key combination in your system settings.

Resolve Spotlight Hotkey Conflict

  1. Open System Settings
  2. Click on Keyboard
  3. Click Keyboard Shortcuts...
  4. Select Spotlight from the left sidebar
  5. Find the "Show Spotlight search" item
  6. Uncheck the checkbox on the left, or change it to a different hotkey

Check Input Source Switching Hotkeys

  1. In the Keyboard Shortcuts window, select Input Sources
  2. Check if any items are using Command + Space
  3. If there are conflicts, uncheck them or change to different hotkeys

Verify Settings

After completing the above settings:

  1. Set the hotkey to Command + Space in Sliprail
  2. Test if the hotkey works properly

Getting Started

Once you've set up the hotkey, you can:

  • Press the hotkey to open Sliprail's search window
  • Type application names or command keywords
  • Press Enter to execute operations
