Cloud Sync

Sliprail offers cloud sync functionality that automatically synchronizes application data and extension settings across multiple devices, maintaining a consistent working environment.

Enabling Cloud Sync

Cloud sync must be manually enabled in settings. When enabling it for the first time, the system will prompt you to choose a data source:

  • Use Local Data: Overwrites cloud data with this device's data. Choose this if you're enabling sync for the first time or if this device has the most up-to-date data.
  • Use Cloud Data: Overwrites this device's data with cloud data. Choose this if you've already synced on other devices and want this device to match the cloud.

Extension Sync Settings

After enabling global cloud sync, you can configure sync options individually for each extension that supports cloud sync:

  1. Open the Cloud Sync panel in settings
  2. View the list of all extensions that support cloud sync
  3. Enable or disable sync for each extension individually
  4. For extensions with sync disabled, you can choose to delete their cloud data

Sync Status

The cloud sync panel displays the current sync status in real-time:

  • Syncing: Data is being uploaded or downloaded
  • Synced: Data has been successfully synchronized
  • Sync Failed: An error occurred, click to retry

Important Notes

  • Cloud sync requires an account login and subscription to the corresponding service
  • When enabling sync for the first time, carefully choose your data source to avoid accidentally overwriting important data
  • Conflicting data will be overwritten by the selected data source, while non-conflicting data will be preserved
  • You can disable cloud sync at any time in settings
